$600 Maple – Street Tree Removal – Cut down, cut stump as low as possible, dispose of debris.

$300 STUMP GRINDING (estimated until after 811 call and inspection work below completed)

I will need to call 811 to confirm utility line locations. Grind entire mound area. Grind 4 larger surface roots. Need to have about 18″ of the stone border removed from each side so that I can completely access the area with the grinder. Caution gutter popup drain and lighting wire nearby. I will try to avoid damage to the drain and wire, but I cannot take responsibiltiy for any repairs that might be needed as the stump/roots are so close by. The wire is certainly contained within the roots at this point.

811 locates water and sewer to the curb, electrical, gas, and telecom to the house. Water and sewer generally go straight from the curb location to the house. If there is a question about water and sewer location the customer must waive my liability for these lines.

811 does not mark irrigation systems, low voltage wiring (dog invisible fences, lighting, security, etc.) and other underground systems. Per my waiver, I cannot take responsibility for these unless notified as to their existence and location.

$140 STUMP GRINDINGS – Take approximately 2/3 cubic yard of grindings from main trunk area and dispose to allow replanting in the same location.

If you’d like additional soil removed, I can remove it charged at price of actual material removed.

REBAR LOCATING – Trees in some sections of Carolina Preserve were planted with steel rebar instead of wooden stakes. I must locate using a metal detector and remove any rebar before stump grinding. It is extremely dangerous to grind a stump without removing rebar first.

FOUND REBAR charged @ $10-$20/piece. Trees typically have 3 pieces, but some have less or none where someone removed it already. There is usually NO rebar on Marsalis Way.
