$325 Chinese Privet – very large on house corner, cut down, cut stump low as conditions permit, dispose of debris
$100 Chinese Privet – large close to Elm tree, cut down, cut stump low as conditions permit, dispose of debris
$50 Undergrowth – Pull out small saplings by hand to get roots. Cut down remaining with bladed trimmer and rake out loose debris (existing debris as well) for disposal. After stump grinding (see stump grinding section) future plant growth in this area can be controlled with mowing.
$80 Elm – Prune low hanging parts of very large branch growing into Chinese Privet. Prune out dead branches on that same branch. Dispose of debris.
Price assumes your neighbor would be okay with my loading the debris from his driveway. I actually use a modified minivan for this sort of work, so it’s not a big, heavy vehicle. If I need to work out of your driveway, it would be about 10% more to account for moving the debris through your yard.
BACK/SIDE YARD – Large Japanese Cleyera shrubs & small trees (Black Cherry, etc) x 5
$450 Cut down, cut stumps as low as conditions permit, dispose of debris.
$25 Undergrowth – Pull out small saplings by hand to get roots. Cut down remaining with bladed trimmer and rake out loose debris (existing debris as well) for disposal. After stump grinding (see stump grinding section) future plant growth in this area can be controlled with mowing.
$325-$375 Stump grinding – Grind stumps 6-8″ below grade, rake grindings neatly over former stump locations. The grinder needs 47″ of access to get through the gate in the back. I can make it a little narrower by removing one set of wheels, if needed. That will add $50 for the time to remove and replace the wheels upon entrance and exit to the area. I will call 811 before grinding. Please see below for the limitations of 811 utility marking.
—– GENERAL INFORMATION BELOW —–
Stump Grinding – Stump ground to 6″ below grade. Grindings raked up and piled neatly over stump location. Stump grinding removal and soil replacement is available and can be quoted on request.
I’ll call 811 to locate utilities in the area before grinding. 811 locates water and sewer to the curb, electrical, gas, and telecom to the house. Water and sewer generally go straight from the curb location to the house. If there is a question about water and sewer location the customer must either waive my liability for these lines or hire a location service to locate these lines.
811 does not mark irrigation systems, low voltage wiring (dog invisible fences, lighting, security, etc.) and other underground systems. Per my waiver, I cannot take responsibility for these unless notified as to their existence and location.
Estimate: If, upon arriving at the site, it is determined the final price will exceed the estimate by more than 25%, your approval will be required before work begins.

Estimates and quotes are good for the shorter of 30 days or until the condition of the tree changes substantially, such as being struck by lightning or damaged in high winds.
