Tree Removals at 208 Beckingham Loop
REBAR LOCATING – Trees in some sections of Carolina Preserve were planted with steel rebar instead of wooden stakes. I must locate using a metal detector and remove any rebar before stump grinding. It is extremely dangerous to grind a stump without removing rebar first. There may be rebar in none of the trees or in all three trees (up to 9 pieces). I’m assuming 5 to be found and removed.
FOUND REBAR charged @ $10-$20/piece. Trees typically have 3 pieces, but some have less or none where someone removed it already.
TOTAL (typical): $0-$60 PER TREE
*THERE IS NO CHARGE IF NO REBAR IS FOUND*.
STUMP GRINDING (estimated until after 811 call and inspection work below completed)
I will need to call 811 to confirm utility line locations. I will try to avoid the irrigation system, but cannot take responsbility for it due to the size of the Oak’s stump and roots.
$450 FRONT OAK – Grind stump, entire mound, and 9 major roots. I won’t use the machine as a tiller, however, and grind up the entire front yard. Grind oak deep enough to allow replanting of a new tree in the same spot.
$400 REAR TREES – Grind stumps + 3 large surface roots on each. Grind to at least 6″ below grade.
I will take 10% off the grinding prices if all grinding is done at one time.
—– [General Stump Grinding Information Below] —–
811 locates water and sewer to the curb, electrical, gas, and telecom to the house. Water and sewer generally go straight from the curb location to the house. If there is a question about water and sewer location the customer must waive my liability for these lines.
811 does not mark irrigation systems, low voltage wiring (dog invisible fences, lighting, security, etc.) and other underground systems. Per my waiver, I cannot take responsibility for these unless notified as to their existence and location.
STUMP GRINDINGS REMOVAL
$200 FRONT OAK – Remove 1 cubic yard of grindings from the main trunk area and dispose to allow immediate replanting of a new tree in the same location. Dispose of all roots removed.
$300 REAR TREES – Mounds completely removed & leveled out after grinding. I would probably leave it about 2″ above grade to account for settling so that you don’t end up with a depression in those spots in a couple months.
(If debris are not removed, I will leave them piled up and raked neatly over the stump locations at no charge.)
TREE REPLACEMENT – HOA size tree from the HOA list. 2″+ caliper, 8’+ height.
Tree price includes tree, tree planting, and a 1-year standard warranty.
====
Trees on HOA list with typical pricing in HOA size, 25-gallon containers:
$450-$550 Red Maple, Trident Maple, Crapemyrtle (various flower colors usually available), Cherry
$550-$600 Carpinus (Ironwood)
$850-$900 Japanese Maple (Bloodgood or Coral Bark/Sango Kaku)
I don’t recommend planting Dogwoods in full sun locations. Other trees on list not available or not recommended.
====
I only warranty trees that I purchase and plant. I will plant trees that the customer provides and charge based on container size but with NO warranty.
Thank you.
Estimate: If, upon arriving at the site, it is determined the final price will exceed the estimate by more than 25%, your approval will be required before work begins.
Quote: The price listed here is the final price unless you change your mind on what needs to be done.
Estimates and quotes are good for the shorter of 30 days or until the condition of the tree changes substantially, such as being struck by lightning or damaged in high winds.
