TREE REMOVALS

1. $250 FRONT Tree – cut tree down, cut stump as low as conditions permit, dispose of debris
2. $765 REAR TREE Left –  – cut tree down, cut stump as low as conditions permit, dispose of debris
3. $630 REAR TREE Right  – cut tree down, cut stump as low as conditions permit, dispose of debris

I will cut down the rear trees in pieces, but I cannot provide any special protection to the lawn other than doing the work when the ground is dry to minimize disturbance.

Grind THREE tree stumps above.

Stumps ground to maximum depth of grinder as conditions permit to allow replanting with minimum hand digging. Generally to 10″ below grade. Grindings raked up and piled neatly over stump location. Grinding will go to approximately 5 foot diameter centered on trunk. I will NOT be able to grind all the roots in the rear bed as this would require grinding the entire bed as trees that size will have roots extending 30 feet at least. This will also damage the roots of the shrubs in the bed.

– Front tree has a concrete border and at least 2-3 sections will be removed and placed to the side to allow grinding. I will remove sections and place to the side. If the ring is currently one piece of concrete, I will have to cut the ring into sections with a diamond blade.

– Rear trees have metal edging that will need to be temporarily removed to allow grinder access. I will remove and re-install the neccessary sections.

– I will grind when the ground is dry to minimize lawn disturbance. I will place a sheet of plywood behind the machine when grinding the rear trees.

– Crapemyrtles are weedy trees and notorious for shooting up from left over roots, even small roots. I would recommend treating the stumps with herbicide before and after grinding but this is currently NOT included in this quote.

OTHER NOTES ON STUMP GRINDING:

I’ll call 811 to locate utilities in the area before grinding. 811 locates water and sewer to the curb, electrical, gas, and telecom to the house. Water and sewer generally go straight from the curb location to the house. If there is a question about water and sewer location the customer must either waive my liability for these lines or hire a location service to locate these lines.

811 does not mark irrigation systems, low voltage wiring (dog invisible fences, lighting, security, etc.) and other underground systems. Per my waiver, I cannot take responsibility for these unless notified as to their existence and location.

[OPTIONA] Tree crapemyrtle stumps with injectable herbicide + surface treat with second herbicide. Allow it to work for 30 days before grinding.

$50/per tree.

This should set back remaining roots considerably, but due to the aggresive re-growth habit of crapemyrtles I cannot guarantee that shoots will not resprout.

[OPTIONAL] Grindings removal for THREE trees. This removes most of the woody stump grindings to allow for replanting in the same location immediately. If I don’t remove the grindings, I will simply rake them over where the stumps were and leave them to rot down.

REBAR LOCATING – Trees in some sections of Carolina Preserve were planted with steel rebar instead of wooden stakes. I must locate using a metal detector and remove any rebar before stump grinding. It is extremely dangerous to grind a stump without removing rebar first. Trees on Marsalis Way generally do NOT have rebar.

FOUND REBAR charged @ $10-$20/piece. Trees typically have 3 pieces, but some have less or none where someone removed it already. There is usually NO rebar on Marsalis Way.
